Location: Tallahassee Florida (could possibly work from Jacksonville FL or Atlanta GA)
Company is an innovative, high technology, global software organization
They are looking for a fulltime IT Services Consultant to provide onsite and remote technical services to new and existing customers. This individual will be responsible for facilitating the initial migrations, version upgrades, customizations and training of customers. The onsite technical service component of this position can require up to 40\% travel.
* Implement Migration Technology software on Mainframe Migration projects;
* Assist in technical information gathering and in preparation of Site Inventories, Requirements Specifications, Functional Design Documents and Statements of Work;
* Work with R&D to complete Proof of Concepts
* Coordinate and perform onsite systems integration and testing tasks including source code debugging;
* Provide onsite training and technical presentations;
* Work with clients to optimize and modernize their applications after the migration;
* Prepare help file content, training materials, project documentation and support manuals
* Prepare and present technical demonstrations at our annual user conference
Experience & Education
Degree required in Computer Science or related field such as CIS or MIS;
Equivalent certifications or work experience acceptable;
At least 3 years experience in Systems Analysis, Systems Integration and/or
Computer Programming/Software Development (SDLC) a must;
Programming and testing experience required with MS Windows, IIS, Visual Studio, Fast AJAX, WCF, ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#.NET;
Programming and testing experience required with relational databases (MS SQL and/or Oracle);
Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are a must;
Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including domestic and international – up to 40\% travel required;
Preferred Experience:
Experience installing, configuring and maintaining the latest supported versions of VM Ware/Hyper-V, Visual Studio, IIS, SAN/NAS, TCP/IP Networks, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and Windows Active Directory Windows Scripting Files or Visual Basic Scripting experience preferred;
Basic understanding of networking a plus;
Some basic Mainframe knowledge is helpful;
Experience participating in large, complex, mission critical, multi-function information technology projects;
Proven track record for delivering quality service and satisfaction to internal and external customers;
Ability work with little or no supervision or to effectively collaborate with geographically distributed teams; and,
Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences and diversity in the workplace
